Are you tough enough? That simple question started it all. The concept was easy - take a team of two or four athletes and pit them against the most challenging course on Guam possible. Guam contains diversity like few places on earth for such a small landmass - towering limestone cliffs, coral outcroppings, volcanic clay, jungle rivers, savannahs and mountains can make it as beautiful as it is difficult. The Guam Extreme Adventure Race (GEAR) disciplines include trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, orienteering and teamwork.
